MAWMR will be visiting the DC Motorcycle Show weekend of January 13th, 2012 and the Timonium International Motorcycle Show at the Maryland Fairgrounds weekend of February 10th, 2012.
Update November 2011-
Our Open Forum was a big success! We want to thank everyone who came out to participate and volunteer their expertise! We still need more help and volunteers to make this coming year a big success!
Help Wanted:
The MAWMR E-Board needs to get the word out about our fantastic 20th Anniversary of the Mid-Atlantic's Womens Motorcycle Rally. We are looking for a volunteer or volunteers to work as a team, to act as our PR person(s). This PR representative(s) will contact Biker Magazines, newspapers and TV Shows distributing a Media Kit. Along with helping to create said Media Kit with Cyndi B. They will need to coordinate with others who are trying to pull together photos and stories from past Rallies.
If you are interested, in this position we would be very grateful and you could contact our President, Dawn at Dawn@mawmr.org.
The E-Board is looking for information..... and you have it!
We are putting together a list of motorcycle dealers, motorcycle apparel and motorcycle repair shops in your area. Yes please send us the addresses, websites, and phone numbers of these types of establishments to MJ who is coordinating this list. We will be sending out information for them to post and/or distribute about our 20th Anniversary of MAWMR - 2012 - Gettysburg, PA! Send all info to MJ@mawmr.org.
One more volunteer needed:
E-Board again needs one more volunteer to help put together a list of women's motorcycle clubs and groups and to find out where and when they meet. Also, to help coordinate with the E-Board, a schedule for members to contact and visit these groups to invite them and their members to our 20th Anniversary of MAWMR in Gettysburg, PA! If you are interested, in making this MAWMR the biggest and best yet, please send an email to DAWN@mawmr.org.
We are looking into accepting registrations via credit cards and electronically over the internet.... Stay tuned more to come...
We are hoping that you will help us spread the word about MAWMR and our 20th Anniversary! We are currently creating new avenues to distribute posters, brochures, and media kits.
Dot is handling our Raffle tickets this year! She will coordinate the distribution of the tickets and the collection of the money when tickets are turned in. You can reach Dot at DOT@mawmr.org.
Looking into a possible HD Factory Tour "Ride" on Thursday... Still checking out the details.
Checking to see if we can get Phil the Biker-Battlefield Tour Guide to come back for our 20th as well!
Update October 2011-
If you haven't heard already, the theme for Friday night's bash is Western! Can't wait to see what you all come up with for this since the Pirate theme went over so well!
We have found another local charity who helps breast cancer victims and their families in crisis, PINK OUT, Inc.! Please email Jane Rice for more information. Their website will be coming soon!
H.O.P.E. is still our charity, they are terrific!
Volunteers during the Rally - We will be having daily meetings for anyone who would like to volunteer their time and energy to MAWMR rally efforts!
Don't forget MAWMR is on Facebook! Add your thoughts and memories - or look for a roommate - or find a riding partner! The avenue is there - hope you can use it to your advantage!
Food for Friday night dinner and Saturday night banquet will be changing for the better!
